Have you ever wondered about the rise of robotics in hospitality? Some think that introducing more robots into the industry may reduce jobs and even become a dangerous over-reliance on technology. In certain countries however, robotics are becoming necessary. Japan for example, has a rapidly aging population that has far less support than needed- especially in healthcare. In general, lower-pay labor for owners of convenience stores (these are a big deal in Japan), malls, fast food chains and more, are finding themselves without staff.
